Rachel and Chris: A Wedding

FAQ

You're getting married in a barn?

We're getting married in a barn on the property of the West Mountain Inn. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside on the grounds near the alpaca stable. The cocktail hour will be outside in the meadow overlooking the Green Mountains. The reception, including dinner, dancing, drinks, and jubilant celebration, will be held inside the 100 year old barn. The barn is no longer a working barn, and has been converted to a space for special events.

What is the attire for a wedding in a barn?

Festive attire is suggested. The weather can vary quite a bit in Vermont in September. It may get chilly at night, so bring a sweater or a wrap. Please keep in mind that the wedding and cocktail hour will be held outside on the grass and you will be walking on an uneven gravel path between locations.

What will the weather be in Vermont in September?

The daytime temperature typically ranges from the low 60s to mid 80s, and the evening temperatures can range from the low 40s to low 60s.  But if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute or two and it will change!

Can you help me coordinate babysitting during the wedding ceremony and reception?

Please contact the innkeeper of the West Mountain Inn who will be happy to help you arrange for babysitting services at the Inn during the wedding and reception.

How can I contact you the weekend of the wedding?

Please call Rachel's cell phone or the main number for the West Mountain Inn (802 375 6516) to reach Rachel and Chris. Cell phone reception is spotty at times, and Chris' fancy iphone does not receive reception at the inn (though Rachel's clunky phone works just fine).
