Things to Do in Vermont

Explore the West Mountain Inn and Property

Picture
There are over 150 acres to explore on the West Mountain Inn property. Guests staying at the Inn will be provided with trail maps for all of the hiking trails and rivers for canoeing and tubing on the grounds of the Inn. For those who would like to remain closer to the main house, you can enjoy the gameroom and lounge at the Inn, participate in a round of croquet or badminton in the meadow, or just pull up an adirondack chair and a book and enjoy the view of the Green Mountains.

Just down the hill from the Inn is River Road - a 10 mile quiet, level dirt road which runs along the Battenkill River and meanders past both of Norman Rockwell's homes (one of which is now the Inn on Covered Bridge Green - see the accommodationspage) and several covered bridges. There are many other biking trails through the region - see the Vermont Outdoor Guide Association for more details.
